I haven't been sewing much lately. Got a 365 Day Project going on Instagram and have been focusing on some art pages. It's nice to do some sewing though. Very satisfying.

Work Space

Slowly getting used to my new work space. I love our new apartment but I miss the light that we had in the old one. Making a corner of the living room my own. :) 

Checkerboard Blocks

I started these blocks about 6 years ago when I first began to quilt.  It was a sew along on Crazy Mom Quilts. They are going to be a little runner now.

New Project

Love this line by Basic Grey. It's called Sweet Serenade. Need a new wall hanging.

Hexies

Nothing like being home sick with a cold to get some hexies sewn! :)

Baby Quilt Finish

On a bit of a roll here lately. :) 

This little baby quilt is done! 

The fabric is from a Charm Pack from Moda called Noteworthy by Sweetwater. 

I made the quilt top in May 2013. You can see the first post here: It was calling out to me! 

Made a pieced back with some fabric from Ellen Medlock's Charmville and Kona. It's a bit wonky but it's still cute. :)  

Eastern Sunrise is Done!

I started this quilt in February 2013!!!
I finished the quilt top in February 2015. 
I finished quilting and binding the quilt in September 2016. :)

Crazy how long a quilt can take eh?

I am so happy its done now.

 I love the look of straight line quilting but I tend to get bored while I'm doing it... so looks like it's going to be free motion quilting from here on out!

I started these blocks a while ago.
Playing with block placement.
This is a slight variation on my Eastern Sunrise Paper Piecing Pattern. 

Pinwheel Quilt

Finished this pinwheel baby quilt for Quilts For Refugees. I hope it brings comfort, warmth and beautiful dreams to whoever will use it.

Kristina helped me cut and piece the blocks during the sewing day Berene organized. 

It was fun to work with someone on a quilt.

First finish of 2016 and managed to get it done before the baby got here! Phew!
